ONLINE WORKSHOPS

COMEDIC STORYTELLING

Whether you're considering dipping your toe into the world of stand-up comedy, prepping for your next fringe show, or you just want to tell better stories at parties, Heather Jordan Ross (BBC Radio 4, OutTV) is here to help you talk funny.

Comedic Storytelling is a live online workshop series that runs the gambit from a one-hour condensed course to an in-depth six-hour engagement. There's something in this course for everyone, from a true beginner to a Master's writing student. Heather is not only a well-versed storyteller; she breaks storytelling down in a way that's easily understood and can be applied to anyone's style. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King's College, a Masters in Screenwriting with Distinction from Screen Academy Scotland, and has performed stand up from coast to coast in Canada and across Scotland.

Heather presented her first sold-out three week course through the PEI Writers' Guild in February 2021. In the spring of 2021, she was asked by Screen Academy Scotland to teach a three hour lecture to their Masters Screenwriting students. Her next iteration is a one hour webinar, Funnier in an Hour, available soon through the PEI Writers' Guild.

Praise for Comedic Storytelling:

"Heather... was, to use a word that is often overused (but in this case it's 100% true): amazing. Heather not only provided relevant and key information to participants, but she did so in a warm, inviting, and encouraging atmosphere essential when facilitating writing workshops, where participants can often feel exposed and vulnerable," says Christine Gordon Manley, President of the PEI Writers' Guild. "She was professional, exceeded expectations, and is someone the PEIWG would work with again in a heartbeat."
